Mason Geoscience was founded by Fred Mason, a California licensed Professional Geologist with certifications in Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology.
Mason Geoscience provides services in Environmental Geology, Hydrogeology, and Engineering Geology. We work throughout California on private and public projects investigating the natural environment. Our goal is to solve geologic problems for our clients by using a thorough scientific approach to understanding the geologic conditions of their site. Our services include investigating the chemical and physical conditions as well as the interaction and occurrence of surface water, groundwater, soil, and rock. Our clientele are wide-ranging including public and private entities, agricultural and commercial businesses, and Geotechnical and Civil Engineering firms.

HYDROGEOLOGY
Water is a critical for the Central Valley. The Sustainable Groundwater Management Act requires Californians to more closely monitor water use. We can assist in hydrogeologic investigations for public and private entities including land owners, hydrogeologists, engineers, and water agencies. All work is performed under the supervision of a California Certified Hydrogeologist.

ENGINEERING GEOLOGY
Understanding subsurface lithology and the local geologic factors is paramount to successful engineering projects. We work with numerous civil engineering and geotechnical engineering firms providing key geologic information to designers. We have worked on a wide range of civil engineering projects. All work is performed under the supervision of a California Certified Engineering Geologist.

ENVIRONMENTAL
Commercial properties typically require an investigation of the environmental condition. Our expertise includes investigations to assess the current conditions of your property and may include research into regulatory compliance, literature reviews, surface and subsurface assessment, and/or remediation. We are trained and certified to investigate a wide range of physical and chemical conditions of a site that may include compounds ranging from nitrates, metals, volatile organics such as petroleum products or chlorinated solvents as well as naturally occurring materials such as asbestiform minerals.
